Valentine’s in a Limo

Mirage Limousines has been doing Valentine limo rides for a long time.  Check out this Valentine’s ideas video from ABC 15.

It’s titled, “Valentine’s Day date on a millionaire’s budget: What could you buy?” But you don’t have to be a millionaire to be treated like one.

It features our Rolls Royce limo. A limo ride is a very reasonably priced adventure. And you deserve to be pampered.

Imagine a few hours in a limo, sipping champagne. Watch the city lights go by while you get deep into conversation with your loved one. No traffic, no parking. No worries. Its like you’re floating. There is no one but you and your loved one.

Happy Valentine's Day from Mirage Limousines-Get your Valentine's Limos & Party Buses now! What is Valentine’s Day?

You probably did not know that Valentine’s Day is also Arizona Statehood Day. Yes, Arizona, the 48th state, was born on February 14, 1912.

The history of territorial Arizona, as well as its rise to statehood and beyond, is presented at the Arizona Capitol Museum in the Downtown Phoenix government complex. It is free to visit.

You may also want to stop across the street at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, to see the many individuals who made significant contributions to the state and the Arizona 9-11 Memorial which is also located there. Learn more here.

St-Valentine-Kneeling-In-SupplicationValentine’s Day is said to commemorate St Valentine who was martyred on February 14, 273. Many of the current legends that characterize Saint Valentine were invented in the fourteenth century when the feast day of February 14 first became associated with romantic love.

During the Middle Ages, it was believed that birds paired in mid-February. This was then associated with the romance of Valentine. Although all these legends may differ in ways, Valentine’s day is widely recognized as a day for romance and devotion. (Wikipedia)

Many believe that Valentine’s Day may have been created in an attempt to supersede the pagan holiday of Lupercalia (celebrated in mid-February in Rome.)  Lupercalia was celebrated to avert evil spirits and purify the city, releasing health and fertility.

As part of the celebration many noble youth and magistrates would “run up and down through the city naked, for sport and laughter striking those they meet with shaggy thongs.”

No one is asking you to go naked. At least not in the street. but you are encouraged to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved one. Read on to see some of the best things to do on this day and on the weekend just before this auspicious day.

ASU Party Bus Events

Now that you are back lets round up some fun. There are tons of fun things to do now that the weather is finally cooling off.

Party buses are great because so many people can travel together. If you split the cost it becomes a very affordable night out.

With a party bus you don’t really need a destination. The ride in a party bus is just so fun. Maybe you should just drive a route. Three hours of driving around, picking people up and then dropping them back off at home. Safe and sound.

The whole adventure is like a traveling night club. Trust me, some night clubs aren’t even this fun.

If you really must have a destination may we recommend a club crawl.

Club Crawl

Start by having everyone meet at one location. Preferably somewhere everyone can stay who may be too drunk to safely drive home.

Then have the party bus come get you there.

For the next three hours, at least, your luxury transportation can crawl down Scottsdale Rd. bar hopping the whole way. Find a spot that’s not too fun. That’s OK. Pack everyone up and head to the next stop on your route.

Finally end up where you began. Everyone is safe. No one is frazzled from fighting traffic or parking or whatever.

ASU Football Game

ASU Football Party BusAnother great time to book a party bus is for a game whether its ASU Sun Devils or AZ Cardinals. Plus, there are plenty of other sporting events in the city from baseball to hockey.

Traveling together to a sporting event just adds that special something. You know how parking can be at some of these things. And the traffic can make you want to break something.

Here are the next few games at Sun Devil Stadium:

  • Saturday, Sep. 26 against the USC Trojans
  • Saturday, Oct. 10 against Colorado Buffaloes
  • Thursday, Oct. 29 against Oregon Ducks

Mirage Limousines will drive out of state. So if you want a party bus to go to the Pasadena game on Oct 3rd give us a call. We’d love to take you and your friends to see that game in Cali.

Get yourself a driver. You deserve it!

2012 Homecoming Block Party and ParadeASU Homecoming

ASU Homecoming is in November so start planning something big. This event is a big deal to your school and to you.

ASU Homecoming in 2015 will be held from November 8 – 14. There will activities University-wide this whole week.

For example, ASU Students, Alumni, Family and Friends are invited to attend the Homecoming parade on Saturday, November 14, 2015. The Parade will begin 4 hours prior to the start of the Homecoming football game. The time of the football game has not yet been determined. So stay tuned for parade times.

If you would like to participate in the parade, follow this link. The Programming and Activities Board (PAB) at ASU encourages student organizations, fraternities and sororities, to be a part of this great Homecoming tradition.

Another great Homecoming event is the Lantern Walk. Lantern Walk is one of ASU’s oldest and most treasured traditions. First celebrated in 1917, each year students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends climb to the top of A Mountain. They all carry lanterns to light up Tempe, following in the footsteps of their Sun Devil ancestors.

At Lantern Walk, Sun Devils climb to the top of “A” Mountain. The event takes place each year on the Friday night before the Homecoming game. This year Lantern Walk will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 and will begin right after the ASU Men’s Basketball game.

Let Mirage Limousines scoop up you and your friends for this and all the other wonderful Homecoming events.

Its a way to celebrate what it means to be a Sun Devil.

Nothing like it!

Prom Goers all in Wayfarers. Mirage Limousines wants to provide your prom limo or party bus.

Want a Prom Limo or Prom Party Bus? Better Hurry!

So Many Proms, So Few Prom Limos and Party Buses

Proms start this weekend, Saturday March 28th. On this day there will only be three Proms, Fountain Hills, Liberty and Trevor Brown. That’s not too many Proms. But how many luxury vehicles will be needed to accommodate all these Prom goers? That is the question.

At Mirage Limousines we have more limos and party buses for Prom than anyone else. But we surely don’t have enough to handle a whole high school’s worth of Prom goers.

Book Prom Limo or Party Bus Here

Mirage Limousines has more than twenty luxury vehicles. Some of our vehicles are party buses and they hold up to 65 people. But I don’t think if we rolled out every vehicle, filled to capacity we could get one whole high school to Prom, let alone twenty or more high schools on the same night.

So, as much as we would love to help you all, we just can’t. So its up to you to get on the computer, get on your phone. Start checking out these cars and the service providers. Swing by their office, if they have one. Insist on seeing your luxury vehicle before you pay.

Busiest Prom Saturday

The busiest Prom Saturday this year will be Saturday, April 25th. On that day there will be 25 Proms. These Proms include high schools like Brophy and Moon Valley. April 25th, there will be a Prom for: Arcadia, Camelback, Chaparral, Coronado, Deer Valley, Desert Ridge, Maryvale, McClintock and more.

Crowd of Prom Dancers - Mirage Limousines has your Prom limo and party bus

If Saturday April 25th is your Prom day then you will have a lot of competition for luxury vehicles on that day. The early bird gets the worm, as they say. So be that early bird and get your luxury vehicle (worm) before they are all gone. There’s a chance that all of our party buses are already booked on that day. Hope you got yours.

Next Busiest Prom Saturdays

There are twelve or more Proms on each of the following Saturdays: April 11th, April 18th and May 2nd. Cactus, Ironwood and Peoria you are all on April 11th. Apollo, you and Chandler, Sunnyslope and more are all on April 18th. May 2nd will be Anthem, Buckeye and more.

These four Saturdays are the busiest for Prom this year. If you have a Prom on one of these four Saturdays then you better get busy. That is if you don’t already have luxury transportation booked.

Let Us Help

Mirage Limousines wants to be your ride to prom. We have more luxury vehicles than anyone. Plus our vehicles are more deluxe than any one else’s.

Mirage Limousines Prom Limos

Expect Quality

No one pays attention to the details like we do. Our vehicles are meticulously maintained by our in house detail staff. Our in house mechanics go over every mechanical detail with a fine tooth comb.

We house our vehicles at our showroom on Scottsdale Rd. No one else can say that. We go that extra mile so that you can feel comfortable in your decision to rent from us.

See It Before You Book It!

Wherever you rent you luxury transportation, see it before you book it. Sadly, there are unscrupulous individuals who will rent a car they do not have. Or offer a car you will never see. Last year, several girls here in Arizona rented a party bus from Pennsylvania. They got no party bus and they were out the $500 deposit. We know because they came to us in a panic. Don’t let this happen to you.

Prom Group Laughing by Tanya Goodall Smith

Tanya Goodall Smith has some advice for posing for pictures. She is a professional photographer and has some great prom pictures here. Although the article is written for other photographers there are still some great tips there. And beautiful images. Perhaps for the group shots you take a page from “The OC” an old TV show. Tina says, “To get “The OC” look, you basically want to make sure to have everyone on different levels. Some sitting, some standing, some leaning on a post or wall. Everyone is doing something different with their hands. They look posed, but not posed, and it makes a group photo a lot more dynamic than just having everyone stand in two or three rows and smile.” Check out the images. You will agree that these are great group shots.
